For Alfa, writing is a medium through which she explores her curiosities and questions. She also occasionally illustrates and sings, and is a writing fellow at The Open Institute for Social Science.

Anushri Lama a.k.a Kimfordesign, is a visual artist specializing in illustration and 2D animation. She earned her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from Kathmandu University, and in the past, has collaborated with Room to Read, Virangana Comics, and many artists and musicians. She has worked on illustrated books, concert visuals, t-shirt designs, and other creative projects.

Bandana Tulachan is an illustrator with a passion for creating children’s literature and sequential narratives. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kathmandu University. Her artwork is inspired by the rich cultural and natural diversity of her homeland as well as her personal experiences and stories.

Junu Maya Tamang draws profound inspiration from Nature. Her work weaves together social relationships, memory, and time and space within Nature. She has been practicing traditional methods of papermaking and exploring text and image-making to develop a contemporary dialogue with the medium. Here, she creates paper using plant fibers, which she weaves into the traditional gundri mat.
जुनुमाया तामाङ प्रकृतिबाट गहन प्रेरणा लिन्छिन् । उनका कृतिले सामाजिक सम्बन्ध, स्मृति, र प्रकृति भित्र समय तथा स्थानलाई एकसाथ बुन्छन् । कागज बनाउने पारम्पारिक विधि अभ्यास गर्नुका साथै उनले यस माध्यमसँग समसामयिक संवाद विकास गर्न लेखन र छवि निर्माणबारे खोज पनि गर्दै आएकी छिन् । यहाँ उनले बोटबिरूवाको रेसाबाट बनाएको कागजलाई परम्परागत गुन्द्रीमा बुनेकी छिन् ।
Manantuna Jyapoo is an artist and art educator who is passionate about working with women and children. Through Srijanalaya, Manantuna is collaborating closely with local school teachers and students to integrate arts into the classroom. She uses art as a medium of expression and a tool to enrich both teaching and learning experiences.

Muna Gurung is a writer, translator and educator. She teaches writing at The Open Institute for Social Science, and runs KathaSatha, a platform for Nepali stories and storytellers. When not writing or teaching, she is busy with ÃMÃKO, an intergenerational pickles and preserves company.

Pooja Poudel is a writer and artist based in Kathmandu who works with art institutions to organize exhibitions, residencies, and events. Her short stories, grounded in feminist perspectives, have been recognized at the Writing Nepal 2021 Prize, and as runner-up for the Alpine Fellowship Writing Prize in 2023.

Her work is deeply informed by the spatial imprints of human life — particularly the ways people construct dwellings and draw personal boundaries. By depicting human activity without the human figure, she emphasizes how space is defined by not structures alone, but by the accumulation of time, gestures, and daily rituals.

Ubahang Nembang (Uba) is an illustrator and graphic designer who loves making picture books. He completed his BFA from Kathmandu University and holds an MA in Illustration from Falmouth University in Cornwall. Often told through the perspective of animals, his stories reflect the interconnected relationship between the environment and people.

Sofiya Maharjan सोफिया महर्जन एक दृश्य कलाकार हुन् । उनी स्मृति, लैङ्गिकता र भौतिक संस्कृतिका विषयबारे खोज गर्न कपडा, कढाई र कथावाचनको सम्मिश्रणमाथि काम गर्छिन् । व्यक्तिगत तथा सामूहिक जीवनका भोगाइ दर्शाउने वैयक्तिक सम्बन्ध र निजी स्थानसँग सम्बन्धित स्मृतिको खोजीमा उनको गहिरो रूचि छ । उनका कामले संसारको वास्तविकता भन्दा पनि यसबारे हाम्रो बुझाई महत्त्वपूर्ण हुन्छ भन्ने उनको विश्वासलाई झल्काउँछन् ।
Tsering Tsomo Gurung is a writer and researcher. She gathers inspiration from her childhood memories and crafts stories that are enriched with nostalgia. She has worked closely with the Tibetan community in exploring themes of home and belonging. She enjoys listening to the stories of elders’. She likes to paint and sketch, and is a writing fellow at The Open Institute for Social Science.
छिरिङ छोमो गुरुङ एक लेखक तथा अनुसन्धाता हुन् । उनी आफ्नो बालापनको सम्झनाबाट प्रेरणा बटुल्छिन् र नोस्टालजियाले ओतप्रोत भएका कथा रच्छिन् । तिब्बती समुदायसँग घर र अपनत्वजस्ता विषयबारे खोज्न उनले निकट रहेर काम गरेकी छन् । उनलाई बुढापाकाका कथा सुन्न निकै रमाइलो लाग्छ । उनलाई पेन्ट र स्केच गर्न मन पर्छ । उनी द ओपन इन्स्टिच्युट फर सोसियल साइन्सकी एक लेखन फेलो हुन् ।
Ubahang Nembang (Uba) is an illustrator and graphic designer who loves making picture books. He completed his BFA from Kathmandu University and holds an MA in Illustration from Falmouth University in Cornwall. Often told through the perspective of animals, his stories reflect the interconnected relationship between the environment and people.
उबाहाङ नेम्वाङ (उबा) सचित्र पुस्तक बनाउन मन पराउने चित्रकार तथा ग्राफिक डिजाइनर हुन् । उनले काठमाडौँ विश्वविद्यालयबाट बीएफए गरेका छन् भने कर्नवालको फाल्माउथ विश्वविद्यालयबाट चित्रण विषयमा एमए गरेका छन् । प्रायः जनावरको दृष्टिकोणमार्फत् प्रस्तुत हुने उनका कथाले सेरोफेरो र मानिसबीचको परस्पर सम्बन्धलाई प्रतिविम्बित गर्छन् ।
